JUDO ACT BOARD
Judo ACT is the recognised governing body for judo in the ACT, responsible for leading the growth, development and safe delivery of our sport across the region. The Board provides strategic direction and oversight so that judo in the ACT remains welcoming, well-governed and sustainable.
ROLE OF THE BOARD
The Judo ACT Board is responsible for setting the overall strategy for judo in the ACT, ensuring strong governance and safeguarding the long‑term interests of our members, clubs and participants.
Key responsibilities include:

Approving the strategic plan and annual priorities

Overseeing financial performance and risk management

Ensuring compliance with Judo Australia, ACT Government and regulatory requirements

Supporting member clubs and coaches to deliver quality judo programs

Upholding standards of integrity, safety and inclusion across the sport
MEET THE BOARD
The Board is made up of elected and appointed Directors who bring a mix of governance, sporting and professional skills. Directors are elected by the membership at the Judo ACT Annual General Meeting, with terms staggered to support continuity and renewal.
The Board meets regularly throughout the year, with additional meetings scheduled around key events, planning sessions and the Annual General Meeting.
