Did you know that the ANU Judo Club is the oldest judo club in Canberra, serving ANU students and other local judoka since the late 60s? And it’s not slowing down anytime soon! If anything, it's growing stronger, with an increasing number of students choosing to learn the art of judo each year.
For many, the challenge comes after graduation—when students leave university and struggle to find a local judo club in their hometowns or new cities. But for those who want to continue the journey, the ANU Judo Club is always there, offering a welcoming environment for both new and experienced judoka.

One of the main pillars of the club is Peter Chung, the principal coach for over 50 years! His dedication to teaching the fundamentals of judo, along with its core values, has shaped thousands of students at ANU. His passion for the sport has created a legacy that continues to thrive.
Recently, Luis Val, Judo ACT President and 8th DAN, who himself trained at ANU when studying there, visited the club and was incredibly impressed with the energy and fun environment that the club offers. Beyond just judo practice, the club provides a great social network for students and alumni, making it more than just a place to train – it’s a community!

So, whether you’re fresh out of school or back in town after some time away, if you’re looking for a fantastic place to train, ANU Judo Club is the place for you! With experienced coaches and a supportive group of judoka, it’s the perfect environment to start your judo journey or get back into the sport.
ANU Judo Club looks forward to seeing you there! https://www.anujudo.com/index.html
