Canberra International Open @ GOULBURN – Day 2 Wrap Up

Goulburn was filled with intense and technical fights. Judoka across our cadet, junior and senior divisions went all out yesterday in a hard-fought day of big throws, submissions, and everything in between.

We had visitors internationally from New Zealand, Russia, Mongolia, Brazil, and Kazakhstan, together with competitors from our fellow states whilst our ACT judoka proved themselves on the tatami.

Seoi otoshi was the popular throw of the day, alongside numerous throws consisting of harai goshi, uchi mata and kouchi makikomi. Newaza saw a greater presence compared to previous years, with many submissions, armlocks and transitions by the judoka.

Good luck to our younger and kyu divisions today! We're keen to feel your energy on the mat!
